About Appetite Notes

Last updated November 3, 2026

Appetite Notes (sodatide.blog) is an independent editorial site about appetite, fullness and weight after 40. We write plain-English guides to the questions readers search for, from the viral baking soda trick and baking soda water to GLP-1, food noise and what changes after stopping weight-loss injections, and we try to separate what's known from what's marketing.

Who writes here

Appetite Notes is written by a small independent editorial team. We are not doctors and we don’t present ourselves as medical experts. Our job is to turn general, widely accepted health information into plain English, and to say clearly where the evidence is thin or missing.

How we write

  • We stick to general, consensus information and avoid numbers or studies we can’t stand behind.
  • We don’t publish testimonials, before-and-after photos or promises of results.
  • Every article tells you when to talk to a doctor and which readers should be especially careful.
  • We update pages when something changes. If you spot a mistake, tell us.

How this site is funded

This site features one product, SodaTide, and earns a commission when a reader buys it through our links. The product sits in one clearly labeled box per page, and every box says who should skip it. Details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
